Ilmu Farmasi merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari tentang cara membuat, meracik, mengkombinasi, menganalisis dan juga memberi standard pada suatu obat. Disiplin ini sangat kental dengan paduan ilmu kimia, kesehatan dan ilmu kedokteran.

Ruang lingkup dari praktik farmasi diantara lain praktik farmasi tradisional seperti peracikan dan penyediaan sediaan obat, serta pelayanan farmasi modern yang berhubungan dengan layanan terhadap pasien (patient care) di antaranya layanan klinik, evaluasi efikasi dan keamanan penggunaan obat, dan penyediaan informasi obat. Jika dokter menangani pasiennya secara langsung, maka farmasi (apoteker) mengobati pasiennya melalui perantara yaitu obat yang dibuatnya.

Guna mendalami Ilmu Farmasi, Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Kader Bangsa juga menawarkan program studi Strata-I farmasi yang unggul dan berkualitas guna untuk mendukung program-program kesehatan yang diluncurkan oleh pemerintah yang sejalan dengan kekurangannya tenaga kerja kefarmasian di RS swasta mapun negeri dan juga departemen kesehatan BPOM baik ditingkat regioal ataupun nasional.

Sama halnya dengan program studi Diploma-III Farmasi, Program Studi Strata-I farmasi Universitas Kader Bangsa juga bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki integritas kepribadian yang tinggi dan berbudi pekerti luhur, memiliki kemampuan kepemimpinan dan etika profesional di bidang kesehatan, memiliki kemampuan bekerja atau meneruskan pendidikan ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi, mampu menghadapi situasi yang baru dalam profesinya sebagai Sarjana Farmasi, mempunyai motivasi untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu kefarmasian.dalam mewujudkan tujuan tersebut fakultas farmasi Universitas Kader Bangsa telah menyediakan sarana penunjang kegiatan belajar seperti ruang kelas full-AC, sarana multimedia,ruang labolatorium farmasi yang lengkap, tenaga pengajar yang berkualitas, dan tentunya rumah sakit kader bangsa sebagai penunjang praktik mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan ilmu yang lengkap.

Di akhir pendidikannya, lulusan Strata-I Farmasi Universitas Kader Bangsa akan menyandang gelar (S.Farm), berbeda dengan Diploma-III Farmasi, Strata-I Farmasi bisa langsung melanjutkan pendidikan tingkat lanjut dengan mengambil Program Profesi (Apoteker) di perguruan tinggi lainnya baik didalam maupun di luar negeri. Sedangkan program Diploma-III Farmasi harus melanjutkan pendidikan ke Strata-I Farmasi terlebih dahulu sebelum melanjutkan pendidikan profesi (Apoteker).

Graduate Competencies

1. Understand the basic sciences of medicine and the management of medicines and medical supplies in the form of legislation, stability and product management
2. Understand the basic knowledge to carry out medicines and medical supplies in the form of pathology, the science of drug efficacy and drug mixing techniques, as well asdrug making techniques
3. Understand the etiology and progression of the disease, and also interpret data for the purposes of rational drug selection for clinical disease and therapeutic monitoring of disease
4. Understand how to monitor drugs, health promotion and its management
5. Understand the methods of drug compounds, drug ingredients, as well as cosmetics and additives in qualitatively and quantitatively terms
6. Mastering the design and execution of experiments and the analysis and interpretation of data for drug quality development and testing.
